New Book

The Enemy at the Gates of your Marriage

If marriage is of God and from God, then from whom comes divorce?

It’s the question that is arguably never given an ounce of consideration, especially by a spouse wanting out of their marriage. But is it not a very weighty question to consider? If it is not from God, then it can only be from the enemy of God’s cause, and if that be the case, then what are Christians doing, meddling with and becoming practitioners of a thing that is clearly then, unholy in its constitution?

I have come to realise that when you know nothing of God’s demands and expectations in an Order like marriage that belongs to Him and which you have contracted yourself into, you will do things in that Order that are not compliant or acceptable with the Order. But it’s even deeper than that. You will become driven to do those things because of an enemy who will exploit your ignorance. Marriage dissolution happens in the church because of an ignorance around God’s Order for marriage. In this book, I bring down all the walls erected by Christians as their defense to justify their need to divorce, by exposing what the real driving force is behind their actions. The reasonings that “God understands” or that “grace covers the action” holds no water when placed under the scrutinous eye of God’s demands of those who contract themselves into His Order. This book will help you understand your role and your obligation as one contracted into God’s Marriage Order, and give you insight into how the enemy of God’s cause will do anything, and exploit any available opportunity to destroy your continued participation in that Order.

Why a Marriage Reformation is needed in the Church

“Claiming the right to divorce using old testament concessions and considerations, whilst at the same time claiming to belong to Christ who has laid out a new standard for marriage covenant commitment, is schizophrenic Christianity”

This follow-up book to The Enemy at the Gates of your Marriage, was written to address the questions around marriage and divorce that were not addressed in the first book. I realized during and after completing the writing of the first book that these issues needed to be expanded upon in more in-depth detail.

Marriage is a vast subject having many volumes of books giving consideration to its subject matter. Even in the Christian context, the volumes abound and the mystery still lingers. Questions about the legitimacy of divorce and remarriage have plagued the church for Ages, giving rise to a plethora of differing views and opinions. Having committed myself to start writing on the subject because of my own need to find answers, it was simply not possible for me to not dig further into the matter to explore these other pertinent matters relating to the subject, after all they would certainly impact me as I moved forward in my new divorced status.

What I uncovered on the matter of divorce and remarriage led me to conclude how desperately a reformation in the church was needed over current thinking and beliefs on the matter. I am convinced, based on scriptural evidence, that the waywardness of belief on the matter amongst Christians is a case of serious concern.

Because of a lack of knowledge, and a lack of credible teaching on the matter, believers are being led to believe that there’s nothing serious in their divorce and remarriage actions. It is the exact opposite. There is much to be concerned about for those who have engaged the action. This book explains why this is so, with the hope of leading the charge for change within the church where we return to God’s original Order and intention for marriage, and more importantly, for the powerful witness we display to the world through living righteously in it.
